I sent a fax as I knew one can also do that. Don't forget to attach copy of status in Canada the first time you request Caips.
About medical reports, it's sent to Buffalo within 2-3 months from what i see with other forum from the date you did medicals. That's why doing it by anticipation saves you time. I don't rely only on BF'd in Caips since rantang in trackitt has not heard back from Buffalo and his BF"d was end of March.

note I never was able to access ecas with Client ID from my permit. Now that i got caips, it gives me a different one startin with 6... hope to keep my old one!

I noticed that some of you receive email from Buffalo about processing updates.

Did you add your email address when you filed the application

If I asked Buffalo to add my email to my case, will I get updates by email along with formal ground mail?

PQ is Province of/de Quebec, old postal name for Quebec, now we use QC.
Anyone knows about TXK?

Initials of the Immigration Officer in charge of the application

And PQ is the code for the MICC (Ministère de l'immigration et des communautés culturelles), the check the validity of your CSQ (again to be sure) then they send you passport request.

got CAIPS Notes today
I have different Client ID with QSW, is that normal? I'll call Ottawa tomorrrow to inquire and make sure that's ok. Do you have same issue on yours?
Also, under Education there's "5" which means High school diploma completed, what does yours say?
RCMP Check was done within a week time.

My client ID is the same as the client ID of my husband's study permit.
What does QSW mean?
On my CAIPS, the educ code is 07; total school years: 18.

If they have your email, they could tell you to give them passport, do fingerprints and so on by email.

although those guys are applying through Fed'l process and the thread is about caips notes, i notice most of them got file number stating with E like you... what's more weird is that they are being processed in Ottawa. Let's see what miracle you'll be facing before your WP expires.

As for me I got to investigate why they created a second Client id... got acquainted with my old one

Wow ! That is a hell lot of time , fella ! I thought by the next 3 months I would have got my visa .... ! Looks like the road is still long!

Thanks for the info. It seems the file numbers starting with E are under new system.

i read this w-e Medical reports are sent to Buffalo by fax or email whenever it's ready. So, it all depends on how many reports are pending and how fast Ottawa works. As I said, upon doing Medical it tends to take 2-3months, based on older application. But every application is different!
