I think its a good thing that your file got transferred to NY, you might get PPR sooner. At least, that's what I understand from reading other threads. All the best!
@ sam-canada, I did that in first week of November in Toronto. and Guys I think DETROIT is much much faster Visa Office to respond you back in case Buffalo transfers your file there, depends if your file is complete!! btw am planning to travel to Montreal to complete my landing procedure in a day or two 8) ...keep your spirits high & Good luck all 8)
yes ittech it was missing before but now its back with one more new column added (Your current home address) under which its automatically written as Montreal,Quebec Canada along with my current mailing address. May be they want me to update my Montreal address on a later date once I start living there

Landed on Sat 02/18/2012, detroit-windsor bridge. It was very easy. It was just a matter of paperwork. Not even one question!!!!!!!!
Gave the officer passport, CPR and goods to follow. I signed and gave them back to me and stamped the list of goods to follow. she did not ask for CSQ, nor bank stmt nothing. She did not even ask where i am going to be living or that i have to live in Quebec.
She just refused to use a friends address for PR card. She said what I have i good. When I decide to move to canada I can apply for PR card.
She also said that my PR does not expire where ever I live because my wife is a canadian citizen. She said with that stamp I have all the rights and I can cross how my times i want by land. (no problem for me because I have a green card).
