I registered and signed into the portal, and I’m seeing status as in progress.

How to check on which office is processing the application?

How long does it even take to be 'in progress' on ECAS? It still says "unable to identify" for me after receiving AOR for 2 days

I don't think my AOR says anything about the office, except

Case Processing Centre - Sydney

I think every application has to go through Sydney first, then gets distributed to other offices, right?

As yes you are right Visa Office shows up in Family Sponsorship - not for Citizenship. Not sure if it states in any other docs, unless VO requests for additional documentation.

We had Finger Print Requested from Vancouver office - not sure if the case processing is over there. Will find out in a few days as we ordered the GCMS notes.

Sounds reasonable. I will probably order my GCMS after a while too. Thank you for your help

Def - but in your case I would wait for AOR first , then a few months to check if additional documents are requested and if it goes silent, then order GCMS notes to check where your file is.

In our case , we submitted finger prints on 7th June 2021 and have not heard anything back yet. Ordering GCMS notes early may not have any information in the file.
