Montreal VO is fucking slow. AOR Feb 4 , nothing started

Honestly, can’t speculate on that. Mine is Sydney, NS, and it’s slow. Also, I’ve answered yes to the stat question, and I received a request for imm 5669 on March 15

Did you answer “yes” to any stat question? I read that complex cases go to Montreal.
Not sure if it is 100% true. @legalfalcon could you please tell us based on your experience?

The stat questions by themselves do not make any applications complicated.

IRCC has defined complex applications as:


Your application may be more complex if:

• the contact information on file (address, telephone, email) is outdated and we can’t contact you or a family member
• we requested more documents and they weren’t submitted on time, or at all
• your dependant(s) turned 18 since you applied
• you added dependant(s) to your application since you applied
• your dependant(s) got married and/or had children of their own since you applied
• you provided legal documents to confirm a change to your marital status, or about child custody
• you or your family member were asked to resubmit a medical exam because one expired (exams for every person must all be valid at the same time)
• you or a family member were asked to appear for an interview
• you or a family member might not be eligible
• background checks are still in progress for you or your family members

My file is same as yours. I am feb 1st AOR, FSW O, my vo is sydney NS, and even i said yes to one of the statutory questions ( I work with Govt of Gujarat, India) and i was requested imm 5669 on 16th march.
Please let us know your file progression.

Hi all, I see that people who wrote yes for statutory questions received imm5669. I also answered for some of my statutory questions yes but did not receive imm5669. Is it because I submitted the schedule A document upfront in the LOE section?

Might be. Not sure.

I haven’t called IRCC for status as I thought it was still too early. My spouse had Canadian visit visa rejectiona few years ago which I extensively explained in LOE. Just wondering if not receiving IMM5669 means anything

Not sure. I guess any senior members will be able to answer.I have seen from other forums that other members who haven't answered yes to statutory questions received imm5669 request.

I am similar to yours except that I submitted the imm5669 form upfront. I haven't called them up regarding my application yet.

I don't think there is anything to worry if you haven't got it.

What does you background check say in your profile? Processing or in progress?

It is still we are processing.. I saw on other posts that when eligibility is passed, it changes to in progress. But mine is still the same...

I actually have a follow up question @legalfalcon.

Will there be employment check again during security stage? *I am asking because I was promoted by the employer, to help for PR. There is just hesitation that if I decide to change employers (open work permit holder) while waiting for decision and ircc calls/verifies again with the person for proof of work experience

I call IRCC today, they tell me I am in Ottawa office, but the first time(at 3.15), it's Sydney office I remember.
Has someone knows if possible transfer to Ottawa due to criminality check?

Request for RCMP Received, Fingerprints done today itself. Does anyone know how much time it takes to get RCMP check through mail??

Submitted today itself, Status of ADR changed to not Applicable

I did called CIC today morning and officer confirmed below status:

1. Eligibility: Not Started
2. Medical: Passed
3. Biometric: Not Applicable (Already gave in 2019)
4. Criminality: In Progress
5. Security: Not Started
