When I make the payments for me and my child, I
made $630 for me and $100 for my child = total $730 paid in one transaction payment. But I print out and attached payment receipt for both me and my application. Is that ok? Thanks in advance.

What should be the validity of the passport when we are applying for citizenship ? I applied in Feb 2020 they received my file on 28th Feb 2020 but passport is set to expire next year Feb 21 2020 does that matter ? Could that be why I didn't receive my aor yet ?

Hi guys!
This is my new post ever here and I apologise if the questions that I am going to ask have already been asked/answered.
1. I got my and my son's AORs on August 7 (application received Feb 5). My application status is still "application received". Do you think that something is wrong with my application or they are just being slow?
2. Does receiving AOR means they wont return the application?
So many questions.
Thank you so much for your help!

1. No. Stages dont move fast and that too during the pandemic when workers are not working at full strength.
2. No return of application after AOR. So wait till they invite for the test.
With no decision made on citizenship testing methods yet, its going to very long time to hear from cic.
I wonder if there will be any use of file moving to In Process when they are not conducting tests for the people who are waiting for a year and they are asking for fingerprints second time as the criminal records check expired. Not sure if processing itself going to help unless testing bottleneck is resolved.

I have a feeling that they will either change the format of test (online, face to face, very simple and general like what's the famous coffee shop etc...Just to satisfy the act) (or) they could cancel the test for time being (May be act change through parliament or executive signature or veto by PM). In any case, all eligible applicants will go to Oath directly.

Submitted on Feb 24, no AOR.
Called IRCC, didn't get to talk to a rep, but I did hear their recorded message saying processing for apps received after Jan 14, 2020 has not started.
For those who called before me, I was wondering if this date has been updated since then? Or it's been stuck at Jan 14, 2020?
My guess is CIC is prioritizing urgent apps and expiring permits first, and citizenship grants later since most of us are already in Canada with PR.
From the excel tracker, it seems they are slowly moving down the Jan apps for "In process". I just hope that in a few weeks, we will receive AOR and In process at the same time, otherwise it would be BS...
