I was reading your oath experience and I wasn't told to write the COPR isn't a PR anymore. They didn't even look at it. They just mentioned that keep it for OAS and all.
Thanks for the info.
So they usually check physical presence after we gave our citizenship test or it's different for every file.
Don't they send test invitation to those, whose basic eligibilities & physical presence requirements have been cleared??????
Sorry I am little worried rite now from their document request letter!!!!!!
There is nothing to be worried about. This request is pretty common. Physical presence isn't checked in detail until after the test is completed and validated AFAIK. Once again, this request is pretty common and many applicants receive it (I received this request too about a week and a half after my test results were validated).
In my case, I registered to vote on the same evening I took oath and the next morning, my registration was approved. I also registered to vote for provincial elections and the registration was approved as well.
Completed the oath yesterday (wife n me). Was smooth. Took an hour and 10 mins.
To make it real quick, if you have a touch screen, feed your signatures into Adobe fill and sign.
We had requested for our certificates to be delivered on urgent basis and the assistant told us they’ll be shipping them out on Monday. They told us to register on elections Canada 48hrs from the oath ceremony.
Keep a good pair of scissors. PR card isn’t an easy thing to cut.
Huh? Oath invite email? You couldn't have taken oath without the oath invite email!! Its a document attached to the email that invited you to take oath.
