Hi I got citizenship test invite but when I tried to do the test the link that they are suppose to send me so I can move from step 4-5 doesn’t come to my email, it’s not in my junk or trash files, they only have one email for me on file so o can’t understand why the email isn’t coming does anyone else has this problem?

In your test invite they might have specified what needs to be done if email is not coming. Do as specified here.

Seeing as they now seem to be allowing people to take the test from outside of Canada, has anyone been able to take the oath from outside of Canada?

I am a new member here. You can find my timeline in the signature section. I have one question. Today the new tracker shows it is updated but nothing has been updated. All the 3 sections (language+prohibition+skills) are still in progress and oath not started. Old ECAS also shows in progress. Has someone faced the similar issue?

Recently the webpage is updated to send them email on it but members are yet to request ircc to see what happens. So dont know what would their response yet. Why are you asking? Are you outisde of canada and expecting oath anytime soon?

If you are outside when you receive oath invite then email them.

You need to be in Canada to take the Oath of Citizenship. If you get your invitation while you’re outside Canada, reply to the invitation email to explain your situation in detail.

In your email

• put “Outside Canada – Oath of Citizenship” in the subject line
• In the body of your message, include
  • your full name
  • your application number
  • a detailed explanation of your situation

We’ll contact you with your next steps after we receive your email.

I know right. And for the folks from India who will probably apply for OCI, add another 2 months lol (although OCI is not technically part of this process, but still it is something most of us will apply for)

This has became new routine now. Check tomorrow you will see most updates. I think there might be some over night Job that kicks in updates next day.

Received ceremony date for nov 16th. Everything is open now I wish they call us sooner. This wait is killing. I was hoping by end of aug but no luck.

Yeah, I also wish my Oath were scheduled for an earlier date, but considering how many people are in limbo now (even those who applied months before us), I think we should be happy to know the dates of our Oath ceremonies. Even though it’s mid-November for us, I guess it’s way better than complete uncertainty many other folks have to face.

Funny Story, after I spoke to IRCC on Tuesday and they told me it’s a glitch that my test status change from complete to in progress . My tracker updated with nothing few days later. Yesterday it’s updated and show I have been scheduled for test in Aug

I called IRCC today morning , they double checked and told me all my assessments and sections have been done and approved and my application is waiting for virtual ceremony.

My tracker updated August 4th ceremony status in progress, Today updated again with ceremony scheduled on October 6th. Haven't received an email yet, just the message on the tracker.
