IRCC is a federal agency and as such responsible under the IRPA, administrative law and the constitution. Once the application is approved and a COPR issued, if it expires, IRCC will have to renew it again, if not, they can be legally compelled to as it is their legal duty.
Eventually, as travel restriction ease, as more Canadians get vaccinated, the borders will open. Currently you can travel to Canada of your are exempt, or have a study permit or work permit.

It's quite frustrating, but you need to find patience somehow. Covid-19 is still impacting Canada significantly (including employment numbers). We can only wait and hope for resolution soon....

Congrats! Could you share how do you know when the background check was completed? Is it only showing up on the online portal after CoPR, or you saw it through the GCMS notes? Also wondering if there are any GUs prior to CoPR. Thanks

I have seen Nov 2020 applicants getting approved for PR what about us CEC inland applicants what have we done to get this sort of treatment from them. They are not communicating at all man
