Emailed my MP on Monday for updates on our application. Received reply today (2 days later). Everything seems the same, except for us it's new news to hear that security is passed.

Quoted update received:

"
* The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Sydney (CPC-S), Nova Scotia, on February 14, 2019.
* The initial assessment to ensure the sponsor meets all the sponsorship requirements<https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ship/spouse-partner-children/eligibility.html> was finalized on June 10, 2019.
* the assessment for the applicant have not started.
* The medical examination results are on file and valid until November 7, 2020, for the applicants.
* The criminality verifications are currently valid.
* The security verifications are currently valid.

I'm not sure if there are any rules on who can contact them, but get your husband to contact them just to be on the safe side.

on mycic, i saw last update was on 12 august 2020 with a note saying REVIEW OF MEDICAL RESULTS.

there is no further correspondence or requests so far,

what that means?

my medicals expired on april 2020

any one got a request to make new medicals?

I know many offices are still closed outside of canada. That's why they do not issue ppr.
