So I got a reply from the CSE I raised a few days ago:
Good day Muhammad Safi Ullah Khan,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information on file and can confirm that:
- The background verifications are currently valid.
- The security background verification is in process.
- The criminal background verification is currently valid.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.
Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
What do you guys think? Should I remain hopeful??
Omg guys. Just got a ghost update. Really hope it's the golden email and not some crap about medicals or addition documents.

That's a great news, hopefully you will get PPR soon, are you an inland applicant? Where is your visa office?

First update in my file since February. Medical passed on Dec 5. Hurray! I am still expecting PPR as my christmas present. Wish me luck.
Hi everyone!
I just got an email from CIC with an scheduled landing interview for me and my spouse as the last step of the process, finally! We are inland applicants.
I have a question... Does any of you know if it OK to travel out of Canada between now and the interview? I am visiting my parents back home this Christmas break and now I'm worried if this might create some trouble...
Thank you all for your support during the process!

what are the question they ask in the interview do you know? and why is it an interview not ppr?
Guys! I just got a re-medical request along with height and eye colour and passport bio data page.
Does this confirm eventual PR?? And how bad is the worst case waiting period after re-medical? I don't wanna get my hopes up.
Please let me know.

That's a very good sign, I have seen people who got PPR within week or 2 after their re-meds got passed.
ATTENTION!
NOT TOO LATE – SUBMIT YOUR JOB DUTIES LETTER NOW!
There are many applicants who have only given their offer letter, relieving letter, salary slips and/or account statement showing salary credited as proof of employment.
The MOST IMPORTANT aspect of employment proof is to attest your job duty, role and responsibility. Based on this information, the visa officer VALIDATES your chosen NOC Code and moves the file forward.
In case you have not shown your job duties and responsibilities (based on whatever your past employer agrees to show on paper) – GET THE LETTERS NOW AND SUBMIT VIA WEBFORM ASAP. Do not worry, you have time!
Get up, its time to chase your past reporting manager. Chase your past HR person. Tell them you need this letter for immigration & citizenship purpose. Get whatever duties you can on paper. Signed by either HR or Dept. Head or Reporting Manager or any official signing authority.
Remember, Offer letters have salary mentioned, but they do not mention your job duties. It is compulsory to disclose any/all/as much of duties signed by past employers.
ACT NOW! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY! AVOID ADR REQUEST!
BE PROACTIVE!
