Hi

I called CIC agent a few days back and they said that my eligibility is under review and the background check has just started. My question is what is the meaning of background check?? Does it mean that they have started my security check? Please clarify. And how long does it takes to complete my eligibility check??

No, I did not get a remedical request and I am not sure if they will give any extension as my copr is not stamped yet. Current medical expiry is 30 Dec.

Recently couple of people told that they got letter before PPR email asking them if they can travel before their medical expiry (Which was coming soon). If they are not able to travel, then they would issue a re-medical letter first.

So most likely in your case, your medicals might get extended.

I was so relieved when eligibility finally passed but is it normal to take so long for them to start the security part? 2.5 months with the same status...

Criminality and security should not take much time once "they start"

I have a question about the landing procedures. !

Have immigration officers asked anyone about the Proof of Funds ? Or what are the possible options to support the funds ?

As i am planning to go for a short period now due to the winters ! So don't want to convert everything to CND. What are the options that can work for me

did you call them? You can ask them status of each eligibility criminality security
