I got my medical cleared and also requested for Biometric on 5 April ‘2019 and today 6 April ‘2019 , I received another email saying “your application has been updated” and i checked my cic account and didn’t see any of the updates there . Is this the ghost updates ? I also heard something IP1 IP2 , on which stage is this??

The exact thing has happened to me as well.
BIL Apr 5th. April 6th ghost update.
In fact I was coming here to inquire... I thought background check can only happen after biometrics
Hi guys. I know that is not the right thread for my question but couldn’t find any to help me.
In the travel history section I made a mistake. For one trip I put the same date for “from” to “to” which is 2007/07/07
I don’t even know why I put this trip since they want a travel history for the last ten years. My questions are:
1- is it bad if i put more than 10 years travel history?
2- I sent an ircc web form but did not get any confirmation through email. Is it normal?

This is a ghost update. No need to worry about it. When an application is updated, you may get such updates. If there is a notification, it may take 24-48 hours to show up.
Each application is different, so do not compare your application with others. If your meds were fine, it can take 3-7 weeks for the medicals to be passed. All depends on when the report was transmitted by your physician to IRCC.
I think it should be normal, means that your file is being looked at.
Even I got an “Update” for my application today (no email yet). Medical changed to “ we are reviewing your medical results”; AND Background changed to “we are processing”.
Do people get this message “we are reviewing your medical results” before the actual Medical Pass??
ITA date - 30 January 2019 Application submission & AOR - 4 February 2019 Country of residence - USA
Question about the details page, is it normal that it says I do not need a medical exam at this stage? Or is it just a glitch (one of many) in the system?
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes. Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents. Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
I'm waiting on my medical exam to be cleared... ("You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.") But what's odd is my background check says this: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
I thought they didn't start processing anything until background check is cleared?
EDIT: NEVERMIND. I guess there's a false P2. Dang, got my hopes up.
The disappearance seems quite normal (though far from reasonable ). Mine decided to run away from home soon after my ITA (feb 7), came back when I got my MEP/BIL/ADR (March 21) and has stayed put since then.
There seems to be no hard and fast rule about how long it takes for the biometrics to get updated. Reports have ranged from instantaneous updates to taking several hours or even days. While it can be frustrating not to get timely updates, looking on the bright side it's not something you can "fail". As long as you've had your appointment within the requested window (30 days from letter), you shouldn't be worried about delays.
Speaking of the status bar, mine is showing "17 weeks" instead of "4 months" like it was before. I understand that that is probably irrelevant, but has anyone else seen this change besides me?
