hey guys - I have a question for those that received the finger print request.
I have't seen the status change even though I sent my fingerprints over the very next day once I received the request. I am trying to follow up with the agency that took my finger prints and also with RCMP.
For those that received a similar request, did your status change to "finger prints received" or something along those lines? I am afraid I am coming up on the 30 day deadline for sending over the finger prints and if they haven't received it (even though I have already sent it), that won't be good.

I have received the FP request in July. Sent in three days. Your status won’t change and it will remain in process. To make sure they got my FP, after three weeks I filled a web form for adding information to my application where I uploaded the FP receipts and asked about my status. In 10 days they responded that they have them on file. In two days, after they replied to my online inquiry , I got my test letter.
Hi all, I did my test yesterday 20/20. During the interview, the officer said that they are still waiting on clearance and she doesn't know how long it will take. Has anyone else gone through this as well? What does it mean and how long is the wait usually for the DM?

Every applicant has to get security clearance to be approved for citizenship. This process takes months by CSIS. When done they notify IRCC. The exact time varies. Applicants from middle eastern or majority Muslim countries probably have more processing time for sometimes they have to do a thourogh check abroad. Sometimes checks can take a month, others 8 months. Nobody knows for sure. Usually, after the test, the only thing remaining is the clearance. You cannot do anything about it but sit and wait. It’s beyond IRCC control. You are not the only one. I am in the same boat as tens of thousands others. Do not worry. It is just procedure.
How hard is the test? I have been doing online tests, and some of them are pretty easy, some other are pretty complicated asking about specific names and dates. I have read and study the book, but pretty tough to memorize who invented the snowmobile and that kinda stuff.. just asking..
