Hey.
just spoke with CIC call center and they told me they are only working on December 22nd file..For people in February and March we will only get an AOR in mid May according to CIC agent. It seems they dont know anything about the processing time.

The call center agents go by whats on the CIC's processing time listed on the website which is not updated frequently and does not represent the current date the fie is being processed.

You can usually get a better idea by looking at the thread :)

This is so true. What torture I'd be feeling if I didn't know about this forum...

Lol I am not usually a very lucky person but it feels good when things work out quick with CIC ;)

After having a look at the Jan 2015 spreadsheet, I think I know why you were processed so quickly. The two 2015 applicants who have already received Sponsorship Approval are having their visas processed through the Beirut office. If I recall, the current Government made a promise to process a certain amount of requests in relation to Lebanon/Syria. My guess is they're fast-tracking anything that's going through Beirut.

Whatever the reason, congratulations!!

Good news guys, mississauga processing times are now 78 days, Last update: March 3, 2015 !!!

Yeah it's good news.

Wanna ask a question pls...
My visitor permit expires on September, is there a chance that I can extend it? My consultant told me there's no assurance I can extend it or else I've to go back to Phils and wait for my PR there :(

We submitted our application feb 13..

Thx

of course you can apply to extend it. is there a risk of refusal of extension? sure, there always is. generally, though, pr applicants are rarely refused so if you want to stay during your processing you can certainly apply.

considering he's not the one who makes the determination, i wouldn't listen to him. you *might* be approved too. you won't know until you actually apply.

I will try to extend my visitor permit a month before it expires. I would really want to wait my PR here with my hubby rather than going back to Phils and wait for it there...
Some consultant really make it so confusing :(

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum...

i know someone from Phils who had no issue extending their visa and waiting for pr approval in canada. there are many many many applicants who successfully do this.
