I got my PPR today. I see that it takes about 20 days for the passport to be returned after submission. I am flying to India on July 2nd. If I send the passport tomo (May 14th), is it safe to assume I will get it back before June 1st?

Yes my friend, you can send ur passport with corp to CIC for stamping, plus add one explanation letter about ur situation and also request to change visa office for ur spouse in this explanation letter. In this way you will get change for visa email from CIC soon. It will save ur time.

Hi Harry , Really sorry about your situation. If you are already in Canada i will recommend to book an appointment with local MP(Member of parliament) they will get in touch with CIC and can fasten your application process. Apply for GCMS notes and see which stage your application stands.

I suggest you find a good lawyer quick! I think CIC is becoming a bit more tolerant of people who have issues getting the proper letter from their employer or previous employer, but your "extra evidence" needs to be done very carefully. I know that lawyers are quite expensive, but it is cheaper than having to reapply from scratch.
The MP's office is also a good option, but it is very hit and miss. Some of them have more clout than others, plus they can only ask for CIC to be considerate of your situation, they can't enforce anything.
It is possible that you could hear from CIC tomorrow, but it is better to be safe and try to get help juuust in case.

Yep! Visited MP office (MR is mistype) and they gave me an answer that same as GCMS saying. On review...
Ordered 3rd GCMS on May 11th.
Let see what's next for me.
Thanks!! God bless us!!!
