I have applied for a PCC from the FBI for my stay in the USA on Jun 2, 2017.

Does anyone know how long the FBI currently takes to issue the PCC? I now have a request from CIC asking me to submit the PCC by Sep 12, but I'm concerned that I may not receive the PCC in time. Help!

FBI takes almost 2 months for processing the application after it is delivered.

Our application was delivered on Mar 13th, I think the CC charged on May 1st week (we had some issue with the first card, so had to send a new form) the report was mailed out on May 17th and we received it in India by June 1st.

There is a thread in this forum which discuss FBI processing time. Do check it.
 
And if you don't get it by Sep 12, write to CIC (do this around the 3-4 of Sep), attach proof that you applied for the PCC (FedEx receipt, for eg), and ask for more time. They will grant you an extension - the FBI delaying is not going to lead to your rejection, as long as you show CIC that you did everything you were supposed to.
