Service Canada will need to know how many insurable hours you’ve worked in the preceding year, known as the qualifying period . It used to be 600 hours , but the Government temporarily reduced that too 120 hours till mid September
You can’t if not eligible for more weeks. Number of weeks is based on your ROE. You will need to submit a new claim and show that you are eligible. Go to a Service Canada office or call and ask. Talk to doctor about medical forms required.
I still have more hours to get EI. Also, I have all the certificates but I want to know if i need to refill the application from scratch or is there any way to extend it?

Read the link. It says if situation changes then may be eligible for another program but must meet all conditions. Most likely from the beginning but ask Service Canada.

That’s not how it works . You don’t draw down on your insurable hours for benefits . It’s not like a bank account.
Real life example
My mother was terminally ill . Critical care, compassionate care . She was given a very short time to live .
I was working full time . November xxxx I applied for compassionate care thru EI.
With documentation that my mother will pass. It got approved . I had the required hours . Unfortunately I only received one payment , since my mother was in ICU and the cancer was very aggressive
Fast forward to Feb xxxx, everyone where I worked got notice of being laid off . Since I already used my insurable hours as a claim for my mom starting in November xxxx, I was only eligible for about four weeks of regular EI . That was for regular EI. It’s all based upon a one year window
The hours you used for your critical care are gone . You’d need to work the required hours once again to be eligible for a benefit .
In a nutshell your insurable hours required is based upon the preceding eligibility window I believe of 52 weeks , from the date you make the claim
