Extension of post graduate work permit procedure after passport renewal

Hi, did you have any remark on your permit?

"Issued to passport validity" was the remark. in my opinion, as long as you have valid explanation letter attached it should be good to go.

I just got my PGWP extended!
Initially, my PGWP was given for 9 months because of my old passport validity. I renewed my passport in Canada and applied for PGWP extension online. I filled the form exactly the same way as I did when I applied PGWP for the first time but I did attach a letter of explanation.

there is a checklist, asking need stamps of your recent entry but that is on old passport,so should i attach old PP photocopies?

You should create one pdf with the scan (camera pic) copy of old passport + its observatory pages and new passport. Then upload it to the place where it asks to upload the passport.

I am applying a paper application,so i think i should attach an old passport and will confirm that copy in explanation letter.

Hello Shunjaruff, I am trying to extend my PGWP and don't exactly know how to do it. So when you filled out the questionnaire in the question where they asked you your current immigration status you said studying? even though you were not studying anymore?

Yes. Fill it as if you are filling it for the very first time.

Hey shunjaruff, I'm trying to apply for a PGWP extension, but I cant seem to get pass the "Find out if you're eligible to apply" section. Because I say i'm a worker and not a student it doesn't let me apply for a PGWP.
Please now did you fill that section/form?

When you apply for the extension, you are NOT student anymore, you are a WORKER. So, put your status as WORKER. Regarding the date: put your PGWP dates. FROM(Date Issued) TO(Expiry Date).

The exact answer is in the link below. You will need to apply by mail and don't forget to send a letter to explain your request to get the rest of the 3 years. Also, there should be a special remark but I don't remark that ends with "... ISSUED TO PASSPORT VALIDITY". Anyway, if you know that you are eligible for a 3 year PGWP, go for it. Good Luck!
