Extending closed work permit

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for help with my closed work permit extension.

I have applied for my PR under provincial nomination (SINP) and received i have received the file number.
My wife has open work permit.

How to extend closed work permit? should i apply and pay for open work permit and then go for BOWP?
I am the primary applicant for PR application, can my wife be the primary applicant while applying for work permit extension?
can i change "closed" wp to "Open" wp?

I'm afraid having SINP file number is not enough, you need SINP actual nomination:

If you meet the requirements,:
- You apply for BOWP based on Provincial nomination.
- Simultaneously you apply for SOWP as dependant.

You can apply for BOWP within 1-4 months before your current WP expires.

If your current WP is expiring and you don't get Nomination, BOWP application will be rejected but you could stay under implied status for a few months.
