Extend study permit but visa is I renewed my passport.

I want to increase my study permit but I renewed my passport as my old one(in which the visa is stamped) is about to expire in 2 month and my study permit is about to expire in 3 months.

I would apply for the extension but which passport should I provide the old one or the new blank one? Or both?

I think you should use the new one, I lost my passport once and I used the old passport number to apply for sp extension, I got the sp with the old passport number and I can still use it in my new passport.
