My employer filed LMO on Sep 12, now it will take 4 to 6 weeks to receive positive LMO,but my PGWP will expire at the end of this month. My question is
1.Can I apply extention for my Working Permit before expiry date of my PGWP without LMO,still in process?
2.I plan to apply online, anyone can tell me the checklist ? 1. copy of passport 2.PGWP 3.Job offer 4. explain letter (state i am still waiting for LMO) what else do I need? thanks every much...
A friend was under a similar situation. It was my impression that her employer had some sort of receipt/proof from the LMO application and she sent that along with a letter explaining the situation, and when she got her approval she just called the regular CIC hot line and gave them a number or something of the positive LMO.

im not sure jess if we need a proof that the company already applied for lmo to be attached in the work permit application. coz as i remember, i sent my application for a work permit when my employer was still in the advertising period. probably we sent the work permit application a week before my employer applied for a LMO. we just attached a letter explaining that we already applied for LMO, hehehe.. (but the truth is, we were still in the advertising period).. and aside my case, my brother too. he received a negative result of LMO 2X! due to some issues about the rate advertised by the employer. so we did advertise my brother's position couple of times. and it took us almost 3 months before we got the positive LMO for my brother. good thing was, the processing time for work permit that time was 4 months already!
