But wouldn't it be controversial, since it will be my passport that has to be scanned and uploaded
No, it wont, but if you feel uneasy you can explain this in your LOE.

I still have to take the certificate from my employer. I think they will mention trainee. Okay and also will it make a difference if I was not paid?
You can not claim points for work you were not paid for.

I am creating an express entry profile, and have couple of questions related to ECA:
- I have a Masters degree in Business Administration and Bachelors degrees in Electronics Engineering. Do I need to get ECA for both or just the highest degree?
- Since I am applying as a couple, is it required to get an ECA done for my wife as well? Is the process different if you are getting ECA as a couple rather than as an individual applicant?
Hi,
1) You are awarded points for your highest qualification so it is ok to only get your Masters degree assessed. However, for future use, I would just get both assessed. If you are using WES it cost the same to get 1 or both assessed at once.
2) An ECA is not compulsory for the spouse, but it will give extra points.
There is no such thing as getting an ECA as a couple. Your credentials will be assessed individually.
All the best

Yea I'm not mentioning it in work history, just mentioning it personal history.
Hi Shankar,
I think you can use the CIC assessment tool to help you out and see where you stand. Initially though, you would have to write your IELTS (General Module) and do the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) of your degrees. These would carry some points. So after that you will have a better idea. Please use this link, hope it helps!

Cheers!
Thanks a Lot.. I will check on this first.
what does "secondary school diploma and diploma 2 years" means on ECA report ? It is only secondary diploma or more than that? Because i dont understand the phrase "and diploma 2 years" ? If it is more than that then can i qualify for option "two or more certificates, diploma or degree" option as i have a bachelor degree also ?
Thanks a ton..seriously. one question, ECA is done through WES website by registering online right? I have been working lately to gather my transcripts from universities. Any special tip you'd want to give me on IELTS preparation, pls suggest.
Hi,
WES is only one of the organisations you can use, not the only one.

However, I highly recommend them. You indeed, register online then they give you instructions to follow.
For IELTS I would recommend you visit ieltsliz.com and engvid.com, these are IMO two of the best preparation site. Practice practice practice.

It means you sent 2 credentials for assessment:
1) secondary school diploma (you cant claim points for this)
2) diploma 2 years (you can claim point for this)
If you have a 3rd credential which has been assessed as a Bachelors degree you can indeed claim points for "two or more certificates..."

Hi,
If you are only mentioning it in your personal history no evidence is required. Reference letters are only needed for experience mentioned in work history.

Hello Guys,
I would really appreciate if you can help me with this.
Is there anyone in this forum who has gotten a PCC done from Delhi (permanent address), though the person has been living in Mumbai on rent (temporarily) for close to 1.5 years?
Question - Is it mandate to get the PCC done only from the city (even if it is temporary residence) where he/she is been living for the last one year or the person can approach the PSK in his/her permanent city of residence as well?
Hi
@TanakaM, this "secondary school diploma and diploma 2 years" this is evaluation of one credential only. This is evaluation of a diploma of mine which i completed in India. My second credential was a bachelor degree. So again repeating the question: what does that "and diploma 2 years means?" More than a secondary diploma or not ?
It means you sent 2 credentials for assessment:
1) secondary school diploma (you cant claim points for this)
2) diploma 2 years (you can claim point for this)
