Hello ppl,

Just got the ITA. So now when I login to CIC, I can see the my PR application. The PR Application has various sections, but it doesn't mention anything for Letter of Explanation, PCC, Proof Of Funds, Medical test or any place holders to upload those.

I want to schedule my Medical tests, will there be any email/trigger from CIC containing instructions about medical?
Can you share how FBI fingerprinting procedure is? It is for background check isn't it for people who have lived in US for more than 6 months ?

My husband has his village address in his passport's permanent address. But me and our children have our city address in our passports' permanent address. Will it be a problem for getting PR? Or should I change my husband's permanent address in passport?

Hi,

This wont be a problem at all.

If you really feel the need to explain you can mention this in your LOE. Otherwise you are good to go.

Regards

Yes, its for people who have lived in US for more than 6 months.
1) I went to Sheriff's office near me, and asked to get fingerprinted. They take few details like address/ Social security etc. They take your fingerprints on a scanner and then print it out on a card.
2) Fill out the credit card authorization form available at the FBI website. it's $18 for one.
3) Put the fingerprint card and credit card authorization card in an envelope and mail it to FBI's WV address.

Hi everyone,
Need assistance from all of you regarding my process, please do share your views and assist me.
My IELTS score is 6.5 } L - 6, R- 6, W-6.5, S- 6.5
Education: Bachelors Degree In Hotel Management and Travel & Tourism } (India) 3 Years.
Post Graduation Diploma in Hotel management (New Zealand) (Level 8) } 1 Year.
Total Experience} 6 Years
I am already in the pool with 357 CRS score.
I do have Job bank Details.
I have been told by my agent that my profile will be picked up by any province if they are interested, and suggested to give me Ielts back to improve the score, but I have given Ielts twice and don't want to give it again.
What should I do in this scenario?
Do we get additional points if we have done further education overseas ( in my case in New Zealand)?
What are the other criteria's to increase my CRS Score?

Thank you.
Hi,

Your agent is right. The best option for you is doing your IELTS again and aiming for L8 W7 R7 S7 or better. This could add 50 or more points to your score.

Other options are doing a Masters degree or looking for a valid job offer.

All the best

Hi,

IMO it wont be, but only a panel physician can give a solid answer. What I can tell you is that for one to be medically inadmissible they must present a threat to the Canadian population or cause a significant strain to the Canadian health system. So if your condition does not do this you will be ok.

All the best
