I applied for Permanent Residency. Application date was 16th March 2017. My Medical was passed 2 days back and I had paid the landing fee and application fee along with the application. I was wondering what would be the next step in the process. Would the next step be Passport Request?

Can someone please advice?
Hi,

It can be, but the average application will go from Background check status NA to In Progress 2 before you get the Passport request.

All the best

Hi,
I have done ECA for my masters and mentioned that in my Express entry profile. I haven't mentioned anything about my bachelor's since I am not claiming any points for that. Is this ok?
Hi,

Yes, this is fine. You will just need to mention the bachelors in your Personal history section (post-ITA), no ECA will be required.

All the best

Hi @TanakaM ,

I've question regarding uploading docs on CIC portal.

Case: I've a Gifts and Deeds notarized agreement with me which I want to declare along with Proof of Funds. I've Bank Certificates, Stamped and signed Bank Statement as well.

Question: Should I upload Gifts and deeds doc as part of LoE or should I upload it along with the Bank Certi and Statements. This is because there is only 1 placeholder for each category of uploads.

Also, my files are running more than 4MB. Can you suggest what options I have if not using online pdf compressors (I tried but none of them helped, really).

Awaiting your prompt response like always :)

Regards,
Ankit

If you're unable to compress your PDFs with free tools, buy a one month subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro and use that. It'll cost your ~$25, but it doesn't get better than Acrobat for dealing with PDFs.

Ideally you would want all documents relating to POF to be uploaded together. However, it you fail to compress the documents (as advised above), you can upload them with your LOE.

Dear Tanaka,

Please help me out with the following queries--

1. Do we need to upload pay stubs like pay slip/Salary Certificate along with the work Experience doc?

2. We are not submitting the bank balance in CAD. What if the exchange rate fluctuates and CAD becomes overvalued and my total available fund goes below the threshold limit after I submit my application?

Thanks bro

Hi,

1) These documents are not mandatory but are definitely a plus if you have them. The idea is to prove beyond doubt that you have the claimed experience.

2) To be safe, give yourself breathing space by having at least 500-1000 CAD above the minimum requirement. Some even mention the exchange rate used on their LOE.
Another tip is to use the Bank of Canada for accurate exchange rates.

Yes, that's how it woks. You update your profile after getting PNP - Get ITA - Then apply for PR.

Regards
I will finish my masters in january and i will apply for the pnp right after. And then hopefully get the pnp in three months or so. And after 3 months i will apply for ita then. After getting the ita how long it takes to get the PR? Are there any chances of rejection ? Or i need to make to make the case strong by getting the field employment although the pnp will give the appropriate required points.

Please suggest thanks

Thanks a lot bro..

Regarding the pay stubs...I get pay slip every month after salary is credited, so that I can upload. I also have the Salary Certificate issued from HR department. But in that document they mentioned Car Loan installment amount. In fact, this car loan facility is a HR loan scheme with 0% interest. Employees do not need to pay the installment amount from his/her own salary. It is deducted automatically every month when the employee is given a car. Do u think it will be a good idea to upload the Salary Certificate despite having this car loan information mentioned in it? My fear is- the immigration officer can misunderstand the car loan installment which might have negative effect on my application.

1) Depends on how long you take to submit your application. At present it takes on average 3-4 months after submitting to get PPR.
2) There is always a risk of rejection.
3) You can't apply without a minimum of 12 months skilled work experience.
