Hey Guys,
The city of destination in my CoPR says Toronto. However, I plan to land in Vancouver (as port of entry) directly from India.
Is it okay or I have to have to land in Toronto?
Thank you
Reena

For FSW and CEC - You can land in any province except Quebec (it doesn't matter what your COPR says)

hiii...just arise a question in my mind.....is processing time for all the applications are same under all the categories of express entry ? or its much faster if someone has WORK PERMIT BASED ON LMIA OR CANADIAN EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ? i would appreciate if someone has an idea about it ? thanx
Hello Friends,
Just wanted to get some information... I am planning to apply for Express Entry with the help of all of you... For the first step, as i understand, i need to do IELTS, minimum 6.5 points in each band.
My question is do i need to get my ECA done before i submit my application, or can it be done while my application is under process??
Thanks....

If you want to apply under FSW and you do not have a Canadian degree, you must get an ECA for your degree. Otherwise your profile will be ineligible.
Cheers

You can use the following links to understand and create your Express Entry profile.
- Check Eligibility - http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp
- CRS Score Calculator - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
- Express Entry FAQs - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/questions-answers-by-topic.asp?top=29
- Creating an Express Entry Profile - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp
You need to get ECA (in case of non Canadian degree) and IELTS done. IELTS has a major role in boosting your CRS score. Use the calculator to see the impact that higher IELTS can have on your CRS score.
In addition to the CRS score, CIC assesses federal skilled worker (FSW) applications based on six selection factors.
If you score 67 points or higher (out of 100), you may qualify to immigrate to Canada as a federal skilled worker.
If you score lower than the pass mark of 67 points, the applicant will not qualify to immigrate to Canada as a federal skilled worker and the Express Entry profile would be ineligible

Yes, you need an ECA report. We cannot tell you what the equivalency of the degree will be. That is decided by the ECA issuing organization.

Urgent post ITA Query
Hi All,
I have a query, we received ITA on October 2015, and submitted our documents by Dec 2015 (Before 60days). My wife is a primary applicant, bt she couldn't complete her medical test as she was pregnant. I did my medical and my wife has done other test except Chest Xray. Rest all our documents were submitted. Jan end 2016 we are blessed with a baby Girl. On April 1st 2016 Wife completed her medical and also our baby passport details/medical were submitted to CIC through our consultant. My query is whether the process will start after 1st April 2016 (after all medicals/baby pp)? or from the actual date of doc submission?(Dec15). Also my wife were again asked to submit her latest form 16 and payslip this August 16 by CIC. which was submitted to them. After this there is no further update. What does it mean? Can any one help?
