I got ITA on Feb 10th and applied on Feb 12 th. Got medical passed on Feb 15th and so far no news and no updates.
I am an international PhD student and got provincial nomination from Saskatchewan and applied with ITA on Feb,2016 and passed my medical on the same month. After that, no news so far, it says on ECas- 'Review in progress'. I was wondering, if my credit card balance (debt) increases while my application is under process, will that affect my application?
No. As long you have paid the fee and your card shows the debit, you are good to go! This will not affect your PR application in any way.

Hi everyone,
My spouse and I have got the AOR earlier in March, with her as the principal applicant.
However, something strange happened.
Her original ECA from WES stated that her educational qualifications were equivalent to 2 Masters degree in Canada. Now, without any request from our end, WES has sent in a revised ECA (dated 30th March 2016) which states that her educational qualifications are equivalent to 1 Masters Degree. This won't affect her CRS points overall.
Just had 2 queries about it:
1. Why has WES done this, is it possibly due to a request from CIC?
No clue. They might have probably given it a second look and decided otherwise. Very unprofessional. You can write to the "Director of Evaluations" and ask for an explanation.
2. Do I need to update her CIC profile and inform the visa officer? If so how exactly is this to be done?
Yes, you can update CIC by raising a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry). Here's the link -
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
Attach the revised ECA report.
Thanks in advance!
Good luck and all the very best!

Hi All,
I have a query regarding the requirement of Police Clearing Certificate for different countries. Currently I am in UK from less than 2 months. Although I have a 1 year visa but I am expected to go back to India in a month or so. Do I need the PCC for UK?
I get this doubt because CIC website says that you should provide PCC for countries where you have stayed 6 months or more? Please suggest.
PS: I have received ITA with 472 points and have around 50 days left to submit my application.
Thanks in Advance,
Vivek
Your current country of residence is UK isn't it? So YES, I think you need to get a PCC from UK as well and this PCC is valid only for 6 months.

Hi,
Need your help to understand the meaning of "foreign work experience" right. You know it is a part of the skill transfer ability factors.
My question is, which one of the following does it mean exactly?
1. work experience out of Canada AND out of your country of origin/home country
2. ANY work experience out of Canada (i.e. including your work experience in your home country as well).
I have more than 6 years of work experience in my home country - India and my IELTS score is listening 8.5, reading 7.5, writing 7 and speaking 8. The overall IELTS band is 8.
I have to apply in the pool and got confused with the word foreign work experience.
Thank you in advance
FWE means "Any work experience outside of Canada".

Hello everyone,
I created my Express Entry profile in Feb 2016 and also got registered with job bank but not receiving any job matches for some reason. I am also trying to get more information on the PN programs of different provinces. Is it possible to get a PN from a province wihtout a job offer as most of them require a job offer or is it better to get a job offer and then apply to one of the PNP's? Kindly advice.
Thanks
Divya
In some provinces like Ontario and Saskatchewan, You will not need a job offer to get a nomination. I am not sure of the other provinces though, you will have to check your eligibility for each province you might be looking at; here is a link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/

Hi there..
just wanted to know how long is this Waiting going to be. on an average
Its been less than 2 weeks since I entered the pool.
I am 24yrs old, masters degree.. n so on an so... total CRS points with 453. Single person...
now how long will this wait take. Should I take all my police clearance and medical and all that and keep it ready. Or the wait will be drastically long. so dont worry about it until the ITA comes.?
In my opinion, 453 is a bit low, you might not receive ITA in the next couple of months. I do not advise you to do your medicals or police clearance yet. I would like to understand why your CRS is 453, What was your IELTS score? did you get up to CLB9 in all aspects? How many years of work experience do you have?. If it is possible for you to increase your CRS points, (like improving IELTS score) then I suggest you do that instead.
Hello Everyone, I have a question about creating my express entry profile now with my highest degree.
I just completed my Master of Business Administration degree about two weeks ago at Vancouver Island University in British Columbia,Canada. All my results are posted on student records and I have officially completed the course requirements. I will not be able to receive my certificate until the convocation date which is on the 8th of June,2016
The question is: Can I choose the Masters degree as the highest level of education now as I am yet to receive my official certificate?
I have done my language test and bachelors degree conversion with WES. Your suggestions please!!!
Thank you .
amazing post, thanks a lot!

.
Honestly I'd like to know how can I improve my score now.
OK so here are my details
age: 24
IELTS - L:9, S:8.5, R:7.5, W:7.5 Total : 8 - i just walked into the IELTS exam and got that..
Masters Degree from the UK
Work experience : only 1.
so here is how it goes.
I did my Mechanical Engineering and then worked for 1 yr - NOC - 6221 - Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade (Sales Engineer) - 1 year
then I did my Masters (MSc Supply chain management) and my current job is - NOC - 1225 - Purchasing agents and officers (Purchase Engineer) - 5 months.
So I entered the pool using NOC 6221.
Honestly I could use the advice of Professionals, if anyone could tell me how Can I improve my CRS score now..

Ok well, looks like you have CLB 10 in all aspects except reading (which doesn't make much of a difference, only 3 extra points), the real problem is your amount of work experience :-X . At this stage, you can only improve your score by getting a provincial nomination OR a Canadian job offer OR pass the French language test ;D . You could look into these options; or wait and see if the cut-off marks go back down to the 450 range (it may take a while).

Ok then I also have one more question, I dont have the 13000 Dollars in funds my self.
Ive only saved up till 8000 Dollars yet..
If I get an ITA, my dad said he will give me 10000 Dollars.
As a "GIFT" for me to spend. I will not owe him anything back. It will be my money after that.
will an increase in the bank account and a letter from him proving that the increase of money in the account from my father giving his son to full fill his Canadian Dream
Will that work?
Like I mean it genuinely he said he will give me the money.

Yes. This will work. You would need the following -
1) Your dad's bank statement showing the debit
2) Your bank statement showing the credit
3) Photocopy of the check
4) A "gift deed" from your dad telling that the money is being given as a gift and you have no obligation whatsoever to repay back and you are free to sue it for any purpose
5) A letter from the bank confirming the balance (along with your name, account number, date of opening)

There is a very good chance that you'll get an ITA in the very next draw with CRS 481.
