hello guys
Now after I received my Ielts score online , I think I'm now eligible to apply for EE , but I need a few advices from you out there
first my qualifications are
1- Masters in Electrical Engineering (approved ECA by WES)
2- IELTS overall score of 8 with ( l/r/w/s = 8.5/9/7/7)
3- four years of experience as a Control Room Operator
4- married with one child
5- about 30,000 CAD of funds
6- Canadian Relatives in Alberta
7- I'll be 30yrs next march
so what are my chances here , and also what NOC should I choose in applying , since the electrical Engineer (noc :2133 A) and Control room operator (noc:9241 A)
and do I have to wait for the paper results of the IELTS or just the scores I have with me right now?
1) You can calculate your CRS here :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
2) You need to have the hard copy of the IELTS Test report Form to apply because that will contain your TRF number.
3) You should have your ECA report ready with you.
4) I imagine both the NOCs are regulated occupations in Canada. EE is a NOC agnostic system. You can choose any NOC you want but make sure the roles and responsibilities match.
5) I think you will get a good score. Masters + CLB-9 works wonders. Check your score using the link given above and let us know.
6) Asking your spouse to take the IELTS test AND getting an ECA for him/her will increase your CRS even further.
Good luck and all the very best!
thank you rajkamalmohanram , I'll vote you up
I did the CRS tool , my score is
443 which I think it is below the last draw threshold , but either way I'll complete my EE profile once I receive my IELTS results
what I noticed from the CRS tool is it doesn't take into consideration the factors of Canadian natives and the total amount of funding , I supposed that it is counted as plus points here
Hello guys, I have to say that find this forum very useful since I´m preparing myself to begin the immigration process on 2016, that´s why I would thank your kind advise to know my NOC. I have an university degree as Business Administrator and also a MBA (next to get my diploma) but I mostly have worked in an airline since 2007 (before that date I worked I a different industry for 2 years).
I have occupied different positions as follow:
Jun 2007- Sep 2010: Customer Service Agent (at airport)
Sep 2010 - Feb 2012: Analyst and System Support ( in a specific airline´s system)
Feb 2012 - Feb2013: Customer Compensations Administrator (basically I was in charge of a team to define compensation policies, control and define budget, take desitions and all administrative duties)
Feb 2013 - Currnt: Organizational Change Management Specialist (Application of skills, tools and techniques to activities required to implement and sustain a delivered change/ "Project" into the organization. This position is applied specially to technology projects)
Which NOC should I use for my application to increase my odds to receive an ITA? Should I declare all of them or just one of them? Could you inform me please what is the NOC code?
Thanks in advance and kind regards

I have one question:
Will CIC require a proof for all the declared job experience in the past? I already have enough job experience to qualify but I also have some past self-employed job experience which I do not have proof for (it's around 10 years ago). I am wondering if I should take that off my profile to avoid a misunderstanding in case they asked for proof.
You need proof of work experience ( reference letter) only for 3 years to gain max points. Having said that do not hide any job experience since you have over and above the set requirements. It's fine to submit proofs that you might have.

Not exactly.
1. You will not get any extra points for the total amount of funding. You are required to have a certain amount to be eligible, but there are no points allotted if say, you have more than necessary.
2. (I am assuming you mean relatives in Canada when you say Canadian natives) You don't get any points for relatives in Canada with EE. You do get points if you or your spouse has Canadian work experience.
Note: if you are a native Canadian (people of the First Nations and aboriginal people of Canada), I am not sure how Express Entry addresses that.
Hello friends,
I need your help.
I would like to create my profile on the Express Entry under FSW, Registered Nurse NOC. I want to know that when you are selecting your NOC, and the requirement on the selected NOC says that "registration with a regulatory body is required in all provinces and territories", what do they mean? Do you have to register with a province before selecting this NOC or because you are just picking this NOC to apply for FSW, you do not need any registration at this point. Even if you do, how is it possible to register as you are not even in Canada?
Your support will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Hello everyone. I created my EE profile about 12hours ago, then made changes to my work history and education a few hours later.
Was able to sign the changes with my name and transmitted the changes just fine.
My question is, does your total score get updated right away or you have to wait for 24hours? I'm expecting a slight change in the total as per changes I made using CRS tool.

Probably it will need minimum 24 hrs, like it clearly states in the mycic account.

ECA is valid for 5 years. If you got your ECA done within the past 5 years, you can reuse it. Otherwise, you have to go for a new ECA.
Thanks @St.Anger Didn't find the 24hr update cycle in CIC.
Read it somewhere else and wanted to confirm.
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to know, when can you get your medicals done ... can they done in advance and for how long are they valid for.... can you get them done just after you have submitted your opnp application
They are only valid for one year - and you actually have to land before they expire. So it's not wise to do them well in advance. I personally wouldn't do them before you get an ITA.

The later you do the medicals, the better. Please do not rush. No good comes out of rushing for medicals, IMO. It is a very simple task that can be completed in hours.
I am saying this because you must land in Canada before the medicals expire. Doing medicals as late as possible will fetch you significantly more time than rushing medicals.
