Hello everyone,
Let me first express my gratitude to this forum. It has an immense amount of information.
I am completely new to the Canadian immigration process.
I am open to any province but preferred Alberta and Toronto
I am still going through the forum and I would like to know what are the possible options for me:
My age:
32 years old
Education:
Master in IT from the University of Technology, Sydney (Australia)
Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai
(Assessment done by WES)
Marital Status:
Single
Work Experience:
3 years and 8 months as Software Developer (India)
3 years in Hospitality as a store manager (Australia)
English Test Score:
CELPIP- L:10, R:09, W:08, S:10
It might take sometime but it will happen. Chill and wait.
May be learn french to get those juicy juicy french girlfriends CSR points. Its hard work but it pays. Besides you get to listen to wonderful songs like this :
and apparently Quebec has best girls to boot. So spend some effort on french. Ask @mushymush how. He did it recently, mastered french and got an invite.
Hello everyone. I just submitted my PR application and got AOR on the same day. However, I just realised I messed up my 'Personal History' section. Because I have been claiming points for Education in 2016 and work in 2017-2018, I continued adding the rest of my activities as from 2018 to today. I noticed it had to be put in order of most recent activities.
2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.
Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp
For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.
6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:
a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp
e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.
f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
How many points does LMIA give us? My employer is ready to give me an LMIA but just wondering how many exactly will it provide me? my TEER is 2 and I am Early Childhood Educator Assistant. My CSR score right now is 440.
Does IRCC consider only 30/week for Full-time work to determine eligibility under EE? Also, will my co-op work experience be qualified for SFW under EE?

Good day all, thanks for all the help you provide to aspirants. I will like to ask a question. For spouse who will be traveling together and want to apply for the express entry, do we have to create different profiles and apply for ECA report separately, or will it be the one applicant and the spouse not applying for anything just dominant.

Not sure your question. So you can apply for EE as the principal applicant and married with one application. The spouse doesn’t need to take ECA and IELTS if not counting points, and can be listed as non accompanying as points will be higher.
Hello everyone. Have a simple question: I'm on an open work permit (SOWP) and want to apply for PR soon. I had started an online diploma course in 2021, which is still going on, which is equivalent to a Canadian diploma, before I arrived in Canada (in 2023) on the OWP. The diploma is about to end soon now.
My OWP states that I cannot study on this work permit. Does that mean I cannot use my diploma CRS points for my PR application?
