Hello everyone.
I have a question (please pardon me if it has been answered before).
I would like to know if you can use your experience as a teaching assistant to boost your CRS score and apply for a permanent residence.
I am currently a PhD student and I have been holding a TA position since 2019. So I wanted to know if that counts as 1 year work experience within Canada and under which of the NOC would that be applicable?
Thanks as I anticipate a kind response from you.
Joseph
So this is experience in Canada. If a PhD student and on a study permit, you can count it as foreign experience. Only Canadian experience on a PGWP can count towards Canadian experience. Do you have other foreign experience? If not, to count your TA work, you need to have at least one year full-time, continuous work experience or 2 years part-time continuous.
If it is through a non EE stream then you can’t transfer to EE.
When I checked the application, I can still change it to EE or non-EE back and forth. I suppose you won't be able to change it once they send you an invitation?

I have more than 3 years of foreign experience from my country but I've been a graduate assistance since I came to Canada teaching different biology-related courses to undergraduate students since 2019. This is per semester.
The question is can this count as at least Canadian work experience?
I just finish my express entry assessment
Please what is the next thing to do

What are you applying for? What does your travel history have to do with your family members?

If you are applying with your spouse then you complete travel history for the two of you.

Hi there, I am trying to update my express entry profile, but I just face ERROR:

Is it the same to you?
Hi guys,
I work as a Senior Product Designer with 11 years of experience and got only 2 years college education from BCIT (in BC).
And I'm in the CEC pool with the
NOC number of 2175. and apparently I need to update it with the new
21233 NOC Number.
So my question is, am I eligible to choose NOC 21233 with my only 2 years of college education, TEER 1?
Because the education requirement says this below and I'm confused:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or graphic design or completion or a college program in computer science, graphic arts, or Web design is required.
There another options looks like the NOC (52120 – Graphic designers and illustrators) TEER 2, but this doesn't work for me at all. I'm not doing illustrations or Graphic Design. I do UX/UI.
Would be happy to hear your opinion on this matter, thanks

Education and NOC for EE do not need to match.
