Hello all,

I would be glad to have your advice regarding my questions below:

My husband got his PR last year before we got married, although he is still working in Nigeria but travelled only once this year to canada.

I applied for express entry and i'm expecting to receive my ITA in the coming draw, 470. I hope it's not an offense for me to have applied for express entry as my husband is obviously not accompanying me since he already has his PR? My worry is that i do not want to be rejected on the basis that he should have filed a spousal sponsorship for me which i think might be impossible since he is not fully based in canada for now.

Secondly, My husband is gifting me about 20,000CAD as proof of fund, which has already been transferred to my account. We have gotten a lawyer to prepare a gift deed and have it notarized. However, my worry is that the lawyer requested that my husband's residential address must be specified in the gift deed document. My question is, should he put his Nigerian address (which is where he currently stays due to work) or indicate his canadian address (A relative's place where he stays whenever he lands in canada)?

Thirdly, in my name change affidavit document and gift deed, my name was stated as AMAKA JOY CHIZURA while my passport and express entry profile is CHIZURA AMAKA JOY . will this be an issue?

Lastly, my address has just been changed from 27 box street to 28 box street and some of my documents reflect these addresses. will this be an issue?

Thank you as i look forward to your kind response.

Can any one suggest

When I check my CRS score in CIC.GC.CA it shows 472, will it be the same score if I create profile in Express Entry Program??

Will there be any difference in score?

Hi all,
I have a question pls help me if you know
my husband worked 1570 hours in 10 months. we were invited to apply for PR in Sept 4 but because of some changes had to decline it:(. now he is not working any more is doing his PhD, do you think this cases any problem? are we going to be invited again?
What changes prevented you from applying for Canadian PR? I believe as long as you are legally studying and working in the country why then not be invited in the future for the application nex time?

thank you.

I also have the same doubt. I am currently working in Canada on Work Permit since Apr-2019 and my employer has LMIA exemption. My NOC code is 0213. While trying to calculate the score using the latest CRS calculator, I mentioned that I have a job offer and the CRS calculator results with CRS score as 602. This includes 200 points for Job Offer. However when I created my profile, the final score was 402. Not sure why the profile creator did not consider the job offer. Question is why the profile was created without considering the job offer. Some says that I should have completed at least 1 year using the Work Permit for the profile to boost the CRS score by 200 points. Is that true? Does it mean that I need to wait till Apr-2020 , then create new profile and expect the profile creator to show CRS score of 602 points? Kindly clarify

yes you have to complete one year to claim points for that and you don't get points for none or less than a year with Canadian Experience. hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I know that I should work for 1 year to come under Canada Experience Category. My only doubt whether the profile when created again will reward 200 points for the job offer when I create it again after 1 year ie Apr-2020. My only chance of getting more points is through the job offer route only

I have a doubt with regard to the reference letter. I am working as an assistant accountant in one school, and I am planning to ask my accounts officer for this letter. However wanted to know if the designation should be assistant accountant or should it match the noc code and be accounting technician. Which is the right one?
