Hi guys,

1. I got the wes evaluation done for both undergrad (3 years) and masters (1 year). I got the result as equivalent to a masters. In the application form should I enter both undergrad and msc or just my masters degree?

2. In the work experience section I will be showing experiences from 3 jobs (2+2+1 year). All 3 are for the same NOC but they had different job titles. Do the job titles matter or can I use the different titles if the NOC is same?

3. What is the minimum working hours that needs to be shown?

Thanks

Hello,

I have a degree which is 3 years and advanced level.

As per WES, Advanced level is equal to "secondary school diploma from a university- preparatory program with undergraduate credit". What does this qualification equals in EE profile?

Can I select "2 or more certificates..."?

Best wishes to everyone...I❤️Canada

Hi Good day to all!!!

Im planning to apply for express entry, I would like to ask if It is also required to get the educational credential assesstment of my spouse during the application process( im the primary applicant) ...thank you in advance

What's your language score if I may ask? A 1 point in language can boost your point to 20-30+. If you havent reached at least 9 or 10, I suggest spend time on that. You can certainly play around in the CRS tool to include 1 extra diploma but if EAC doesnt recognize it as a degree, you will waste your time and money.
Hi Bud,

First of all thanks for the revert, language part I am done bro. Cannot get more than that I know. The only way out now is PGD but Post Graduate Diploma will not be cobsiconsi you mean to say ? I plan to get the ECA done by IQAS and not WES.

01. Use Masters as it gives more points
02. Not titles that matters but, duties. You can use different titles for one NOC
03. full time means minimum 30 hours per week.

Hey Guys, I really need your help regarding proof of funds.I am planning to show 10 lakhs as Fixed deposit as proof of fund which is in State bank of India. I transferred the money from my savings account to FD account on May 2015 and with tenure of 2 years. In the year 2017, it got automatically renewed, because the maturity date was on May 2017. So, in 2019 this amount will mature again on 23rd May 2019. But I am apply for pr application on May 7th 2019. Will this affect my application. What are the documents that I need to furnish? Currently I have confirmation letter from the Bank in the bank letter head, Old Fd receipts of 2015, online receipt from May 2018 to May 2019 receipt. What are the other documents I need to furnish? Is this enough? Am I missing something? Please help...

You already applied?

Thanks for the response.

Regarding the 1st question, I was thinking since I got the WES evaluation done for both undergrad and masters, I should put both and since they gave an equivalency for MSC, I will let the immigration authorities decide and take the MSc into account?

Does anyone know how to get hold of human when I call cic? I can't seem to get to that point to ask for security/eligibility..

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

Nicely done. Even I have made a step by step guide which covers whatever is left here https://qr.ae/TWImJe

Hello everyone,

My husband and I are going to apply through EE under FSW. We are going to do it through NOC 4012 as my husband was a PhD student. I know that since he didn't have work permit, it doesn't count as Canadian work experience. But, when we answer to questions to check the eligibility and make our express entry profile, should we enter "None" for how many years of work experience he has in Canada and "3 years or more" for his overall work experience in the last ten years? It is confusing as the work was done in Canada but it is considered as foreign work experience. I appreciate if you could help me.

Thanks

Hi .Help please
I’m really confused.
I’m an English teacher currently working in an English institute.
Should I apply under Noc 4021?
Helppppp

Not sure whether you've narrowed the NOC options down to just this one, or if you are considering more than one.

For any potential NOCs that you want to evaluate, I would suggest to do the following.

1. Make sure that your situation matches what it describes (it appears to reference language schools, so you should be okay).
2. Ensure you are not among the exclusions - as long as you don't fall in one of the categories you're all set
3. Check main duties and educational requirements. If your main duties match the description in fact, and you are confident you can get this documented in your employment references, you should be good to go
4. Ensure you satisfy the employment requirements

All the best.

How long does do I have to move into Canada after my permanent resident visa has been approved ?

I believe that in most cases, you need to do the first landing a year after the date of your medical test. However, I think if your passport is set to expire before that, it could be earlier. This landing is basically for you to become a PR, get your documentation in order and start the clock on your residence.

As to when you need to actually move - as I recall you need to remain physically in Canada for 2 years every 5 to retain your PR. So to take an extreme case, you could finally move 3 years later and never leave the country for the 2 following years and still be okay. While that's probably not really realistic, this should help you figure out some scenarios.
