HI All,
One of my friend has the name mentioned in her passport as 'Varsha Rose Thomas' whereas in her educational documents it has only 'Varsha Rose', in this case does she need to select the answer to the question as "Have you ever used any other name?" as 'Yes' or 'No'. I am thinking she should select it as 'No' with a same name affidavit and LOE to support it. Is that good enough? Because when she is selecting 'Yes' she has to upload a legal name change document.
Hi,
That's the correct way to do it. Definitely good enough.
Regards
Hey guys,
I got ITA today, so have some questions for the senior members of this forum.
1. Do I need to submit the medical
with my PR application
or they will ask for it
later?
2. The copies of my Education Certificates
has to be Notarized or not?
3. And they also ask if I'll pay some
Right of permanent residence fee, should I pay it with my application?
4. And lastly,
how much time they will take to give AOR after I submit PR application. Cuz my permit is expiring soon, so I was thinking about
OBWP(Open Bridge Work Permit) as an option.
I'd really appreciate your time and all your replies would be really helpful for me.
Hi,
1- Yes, you can't submit without doing the medicals.
2- No need to do so if they are in English.
3- It's really up to you, doesn't make a big difference. I just paid all at once to avoid the future hustle.
4- It should come within 48hrs, but normally it takes a few hours.
All the best
Hi,
1- It is not mandatory. You only need to submit references for the experience you are claiming points for. You can then add your current employment to the personal history section.
2- Your reference does not have to be written by your former boss. It can be from HR directly and as long as all details are on the letter (letterhead, address, email and contact number) there is no need for a business card.
All the best.
Query 1: so if i am not claiming points for experience from current organization. It is ok if I remove from the work history or should I keep it in work history.
Query 2: My earlier organization does not issue reference letters I have to speak to my earlier boss only. Please suggest now

1- Correct. Just put in in personal history.
2- Mmmm this is tricky, you can get a letter from his and then support it with old payslips, contract of employment, promotion letter or exit letter. AND a good letter of explanation.
regards
Thanks ..point 1 is clear. Since I am not claiming points for my current experience I will mention the current orgn experience only in personal history and that also after ITA
Point 2- yes I can get all of this. So I will be submitting only the reference letter which would not be on letter head but signed by my earlier boss plus the above stated supporting documents. Do we need to get letter from my earlier boss notarized as well?
I am worried visa officer should not think that I got letter signed from any random person since I am not able to prove my earlier boss was actually my earlier boss

nicely explained... Thank you for your efforts. I have a question.. in my document checklist, it doesn't show me any field to upload Police clearance. Should I still get a Police clearance Certificate.
If you don't want to claim points of your wife then there is no requirement to submit any proof of document of your wife .
and ya, you have to submit merriage certificate at the time of submiting your express entry profile .
Two more questions i have
1- For secondary applicant (my spouse) - do i need to show her work experience in work history for her - i feel since i am not getting/claiming any points for that - i should not show it- else i need to produce reference letters for her as well
2 - Do we need to fill in marriage date at any stage while creating CIC profile or it is to be filled in after ITA (AOR stage) ?

Hi,
I have two questions if you could answer them please.
1. My sister applied for student visa and she got it. Should she bring the same amount of proof of funds with her to show at border protection that she showed in her application while applying?
2. I live in Canada and I do have a bank account here but my sister doesn’t since she hasn’t landed here yet. So can she transfer the money (POF) to my bank account and show my bank statement and a letter from me stating that I’ll be paying her fee from my account, at the border protection??

2- Yes, you can. It will add legal validity. The more evidence you provide the better your application will be.
Best of luck
I have one question, Usually, CIC asks for Police Clearance Certificate. But in my case, the checklist does not have any field to upload police certificate. Am I still required to get a PCC?

That's odd. You should always have a section for this. Are you applying under Federal skilled worker?
I applied under Express Entry after BC PNP was approved
