That should work too.... In fact, according to me, that is exactly what you should be doing.
In my case, it was difficult for us to get experience letter for my wife and I didnt want to spend $250 for her ECA (was getting pnp anyways).
If you are able to get experience letters (regardless of format) it is great. It doesnt need to be in the format with all the info, since u r not PA.

The cure for that is once you're on the documents submission page, look above and you'll see a Start Again button. Click on that, then click Cancel. You'll then see the submitted forms page.
1. yes in Work History - where we actually claiming points - I put only 1 year for which I was able to manage the required letter.
2. For Personal History - where we put last 10 years - I put 3 years of experience (including 1 year from my point 1 and 2 more years for a different company for which I did not claim points).
