Is the processing procedure for ICT changed now to that of what was there in 2012. Because, when my employer first filed my ICT in 2012, the immigration group of my company asked to submit all filled applications, medical plus passport. Then they sent the whole package to NDVO. I got visa in 2 weeks and at the port of entry got work permit. Is it not the processing procedure now?
For work permit extension, passport is not required. For Temporary Residence visa stamping, Passports, Medicals would be submitted as part of the package.
They both are 2 separate processes. Work permit extension doesn't require Passport to be submitted.
I have sent an email to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca to ask for the UCI number of my application and I received the following reply:
Please note that your application is not processed at our office. Please submit your inquiry via the web form/telephone number provided and the call center will redirect your inquiry to the correct office.
All case specific questions, technical issues and changes in address or representative should be reported via our web form
This means that my application is still at the CIO or it has already been transferred to the local visa office?

I have received the same response today, and was wondering the same. Can anyone throw some light on that question?
Thanks

Could you explain a little the bg status change meaning ? nn to ns , what's that mean? some touched it ?
ns to nn again: means no need to do bg check ? or else .

I am not talking about work permit extension bro. I know it very well, I did it also when I was in Canada. I am in India now, my employer specific work permit and TRV expired in 2015 May. Now, my current company is in the process of filing TRV for Canada under ICT (Fresh new visa to work in Canada). My worry is if my passport stays with NDVO for visa processing and meanwhile if I get PPR, what should be the next course of action?
