Mine also showing Not applicable right now. But two times I got additional document request and also RPRF request.

Does dat means mine background check also not started yet?

I have two questions (AOR November 2016)

1. Did any one get an email that the background check status from "not started" to "We are processing your background check...." ?

I did not get any so i have no clue as to when it changed. The first time i observed the change in status was around 12th March.

2. Also i had to provide LOE for my work experience as i could not get work experience letter on Company Letter head. Will that lengthen this process?

1. No email was received, better to check the account frequently

2. It is preferred to provide a reference letter from a manager/senior. Since you have given a LOE, wait. They will ask for something if they need it.

Essentially BG IP means your file is nearing finalization.
