Hey guys,
Got my CoPR
My timeline:
PPR letter Feb 6 2017
Pass sent Feb 11th 2017
Pass delivered Ottawa feb 15th 2017
CoPR and pass received back: Feb 24rd 2017
Does it matter when we do the landing? Is it have to be right away or can we wait? I have in upcoming trip and I will be returning to Canada by the end of March. Is it ok to do my landing then? Or do you guys think could be a problem?
Hey guys...
Just received an email as reply to a CSE mentioning that they are pleased to receive my documents and have forwarded them from Canada to responsible visa office!
Is this considered good news?
Aor dec-27

Hope its good news!

Hi Sammoe,
i believe there is one exception.... if one is returning from US via road (in personal/rental car i.e. 'private vehicle') to Canada, then PRTD is not mandatory. Instead the same signed COPR (used for initial landing) can be re-used for entering without PR card in hand second time around.
I am still not 100% sure on this and have posted trying to find out more to confirm my understanding..... just wanted to share here as it was being discussed in case you have knowledge on this to add/confirm/correct me ?
Yes, that pages says, "Permanent residents of Canada who are members of the NEXUS or FAST programs must travel with a passport and proof of permanent residence, and may be asked to present these documents to the officer upon arrival at the border.". It doesn't say anything about non-members of NEXUS or FAST programs. So better clear that up with CIC or CBSA before making a final decision.

Yes, I read the same thing somewhere. I can't remember where, though. It's probably on this forum in one of the threads. Anyways, I can't seem to find the official info on that.

I posted at the below thread asking the same today :

A few senior folks have confirmed COPR + passport is good enough...... but i agree, it doesn't say that specifically on the link that Raj shared.
I have asked there as well.... but if anyone here does find that official statement/website link, stating so..... kindly do share it. Would be useful to keep bookmarked to carry on travels.
I just got PPR! Saw I had a message in my CIC inbox, and was sure it was another document request since my BG just went to In Progress yesterday. Opened it and it said to submit 2 passport sized photos and my passport. I'm in shock.
