Hey everybody! I was offline for a while, but been closely following the November and December AOR threads. It’s so great to see people rejoicing and their dreams coming true with the incoming PPR's; CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO GOT THE PPR!!!!
I would like to pick your brains a little bit on the topic of NOC eligibility check: What would be your opinion on the importance of the job/position title as oppose to actual job descriptions of responsibilities/duties? For example: a job title could be Researcher Analyst in an independent scientific institute, but the descriptions of responsibilities and actual duties and carried out tasks in the employer letter are that of a mechanical engineer; of course the individual has a degree in mechanical engineering (with positive ECA); and the chosen NOC is of a mechanical engineer (2132).

I think the main duties performed should match with those listed with the NOC. The name of the position can vary. Different companies have different titles for the same job description.
I've been a silent reader of this forum for over a year. Congrats to everyone who got PPR! And thanks a lot for your help and support! Wishing you all fast processing and PR.
My timeline for stats (sorry, I don't have all the info, because my profile was managed by immigration lawyer):
