CIC customer care confirms that they see my ECA document uploaded and submitted in English although the letter mentions it wasnt uploaded and not translated. So, the customer support Rep told me I can go back and report that it is uploaded and that their customer support confirmed also.
However, for PCCs she mentioned she can only see Italian PCC and not Denmark and India. What I dont understand is I had uploaded all the three combined in one document. Anyway, I am going back home to check my drive and confirm. All I can do it probably write to CIC and nothing else is in my hands.
Wish you good luck. you will do just fine.
This is rather an unfortunate and uncommon issue. If documents are missing, then it has to be the entire document. It is extremely unlikely for just a couple of pages from the same document to just disappear (unless you did not create the PDF properly). Please do check and let us know.
See, you should understand, ECA is always in English or French - IRCC has not asked you to submit a translation of the ECA. They have said that you did not submit a translation for your "education credential". If your Indian degree certificate was in English, then this is an error on their part.
Also, could you please confirm if you submitted transcripts for your Canadian credential?

Thanks for the explanation...well written post that I have read earlier...
I went through the post...but unfortunately it is a very GENERAL description of the whole process for different categories put together and unfortunately I don't agree...
the fact of the matter is this- the bg check change happens differently for different categories firstly...and you can confirm the same by going on any of the recent threads...
the first bg check in progress doesn't matter...no relevance...its only the second time which matters... and just because it changes first time from 'in-progress' to 'not needed' doesn't mean your r10 and a11.2 is finished at CIO...that's just an assumption but not the fact...so suggestion is to stick to facts..
Well, since the status is different for different people, I am going to say the BG IP matters. See, some FSW November FSW-O applicants got PPR within a couple of days after BG changed to IP.
Three of my friends (Feb/March - PNP-O applicants <<NDVO>>) - These people did not get an update after the first BG IP. However, when their BG changed to IP for the second time, they got PPR on the same day.
The BG IP, IMHO, is a significant change.
Secondly- there is no connection between seeing a bgcheck change first time and application status at CIO...thats not documented anywhere buddy... because its too early
Partially agree. I would have to confirm this when I receive my GCMS notes. If we look at enough GCMS notes, a pattern will emerge. The status change from NN>>NS>>NN seems to indicate completion of at least the R10 check. Again, once I get my notes, I'll be able to confirm this.
there are many applicants whose bg check remains not started till it goes to in-progress just once and they receive PPR which disproves the theory...
Agreed. I have seen such cases too.
Best wishes!

Hello everyone,
I am an inland CEC applicant. My time line is as follows:
Application submitted : 31-Oct-2016
Medical Passed: 21-No-2016
Review of submitted documents: No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: Not needed at this time
Final decision: Not Started
Does anyone have an idea of how long after medical it takes to change background status or to say documents provided ?
Since 21st Nov-2016, i have no update in any area of above. Is this very normal now for CEC Applicant??? I mean PNP, FSW people are getting it very fast but CEC people are still waiting, isn't it wrong???? its taking too long even to change the status ......
I hope all CEC guys also will get it soon.....

Guys i have a query
I received nomination around 15 nov
Submitted app around 25 nov
Provided additional doc around 5 dec
Cic requested for rprf fee which was paid on 16 dec
Cic confirmed that they had received pay on 30 dec when i contacted them
Now payment status is still showing as provided. All other subsequent statuses are not required at this time. Is it normal? What are next steps and when can i expect them?
Yes, this is normal.
Could you please tell me when your medicals passed and what additional documentation was requested? I also assume that you are a PNP Outland applicant.

Guys, please check the table and see if your data is correct. If you need changes, please let me know.

Raj, some minor updates for my part (if you'd like to add them).
Background check: NN->NS->NN
NN->NS - 01.12.2016
NS->NN - 06.12.2016
Visa Office: Paris
P.S. I believe the change of the background status in my case was somehow related to request/submission of the travel history form.
Raj,
My updates:
"A background check is needed" status changes:
25.11.2016 - initial - "Not needed at this time";
28.11.2016 - changed to - "Not Started";
02.12.2016 - changed to - "Not needed at this time";
Since then no updates, which I believe is very good.

after seeing posts from @sara92 and @mortywaves, i did a check on my cic account...and finally medicals passed after such a long wait.
so status now
Medical - passed
Review of submitted documents - no additional documents needed at this time (from blank)
dats a really good sign . i hope i can see my medical status chnged to passed too
Agreed Sir with you...
Exactly what im trying to say as well. Im not trying to say that the bg check status is not important, what i tried to convey is that the second time bg check goes to progress has far more relevance/weightage that the first time bg check to in progress
Guys, quick question:
Is Express Entry profile relevant post ITA and AOR?
I see 'update not submited' for my EE profile. PR application is 'submited'.
This is probably due to changes they did on nov 19? I got my ITA before that.
I am trying to reassess my case for skilled worker. I gain 485 points CRS system under Express Entry pool. I don't know that i have enough points to apply. also does it require different kind process for reassessment please share information will help me to apply. thank you to all.
