confused at - CRS – Skill transfer ability factors
what does the post-secondary education related - is it for federal trade workers ?
also i see language points for first and second language - so its for English and French ?
As of now the point system is highly confusing. Officially there is no word on the number of points that need to be gained by candidate to get into the highest priority list. however the number of points that are given to candidate who as valid job offer i.e. 600 tells that they are preferred.
Anybody has clarity on Skill transferability factors points?
I agree. I believe they will have a certain number of invitations at each draw date. They will give invitation to whoever got the highest scores in their pool, then goes 1 point lower, and so on until invitations run out. I'm still confused what will happen when there is a tie.
Oh wow, thanks for sharing.
It looks like it's more difficult now. People will have to rank top, which is only possible by having a nomination or arranged work.
That's how they make sure you have enough points for an invite, as the maximum that people with no job offer or PNP can get is 600.
If you have a job offer or a PNP, you will have enough points to be guaranteed an invite. At least, this is how I interpreted what they wrote on the website
A goal of Express Entry is to ensure strong links between economic immigration and the Canadian labour market. For that reason, qualified candidates who also have a job offer will get enough points to ensure they are ranked high enough to get an invitation to apply.
An employer will need to ensure the job offer is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment. This process ensures they have first tried to find Canadians to fill job openings.
Similarly, a nomination by a province or territory, will give a candidate additional points to rank high enough to be invited to apply at the next eligible draw of candidates.
