Express Entry applicant - closed work permit to open, help please

Hello,

I am currently waiting to submit my documents after receiving ITA in December. I work remotely for a US employer on closed work permit - intra company transfer. I would like to change jobs in Canada. Can someone please let me know the process? I am unable to apply online due to that option not being available for me ( due to EE application pending?)

You first need to submit your complete application for PR. Receiving ITA is not enough to apply for a BOWP.

Once you have submitted your complete application and have received AOR, you can apply for a BOWP.

Make sure you aren't claiming 50 points for having a job offer. If you are claiming the 50 points, then you can't switch employers.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I am not claiming 50 points. I completed 1 year working for this employer so I applied through CEC. Do you happen to know the current processing times for BOWP ?

I'm not sure. I assume it's a few months. Hopefully someone else can help.
