Hello everyone!
Interesting thread. I'm not sure how to feel about this new system... I will only have the one year experience in my occupation (NOC 2221) by January 16, so I coudn't apply in 2014 programs. I can't decide to rush or not, in getting ECA and IELTS... Since we don't know how the points will be awarded, it seems it could be a waste of money if later we realize, we don't have the minimum points required. Of course, there's always risk! If there are no caps, then I wonder, when will they start assessing applications... For example, the pool will definitely grow bigger by let's say March, they will have more to choose from than in January.
Well, for a 1 year experience only, you may be competing against the odds. But hey, maybe you can excel in some other criteria.
Great risk comes great reward. Some people are already taking ielts and ECA to be one of the first ones to apply for express entry in case the same requirement applies. It's your call. There is always a risk when it comes to this thing.
if a potential candidate has to apply for cec , lets say by november, it kind of seems hard to make the cap of 8000. i feel applicants until semptember are very safe, but cannot say the same about october and november let alone december, even if they belong to the noc A or O where there is no individual cap
hello guys, i am new to this forum.
Do any of guys know that an application submitted in november 2014, possibly by 15th of nov, will go through or do you think the cap will be filled by then?
the cap is 8000. by far close to 3000 have gone through. If you can even predict or guess or estimate taking into consideration the previous years. I am eligible under NOC 0631, managerial services. This is eating me up due to the new changes about to be implemented by jan 2015.(Express entry).Any replies would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I hope they are not like Y-axis or just another consultant just showing up for pure business as there is nothing yet on CIC site about Express Entry than what was published in the beginning, few months back.
HI guys,
i wanted to know of there is any info out there on what categories would be there for the express entry 2015 program, will all of the 50 categories be open ?
thanks, would be of great help if anyone can shed some light
Express entry applicant will get visa promptly and way before 2014 applicant, that's how it sounds but the requirement of express entry is not clear. Let's hope for the best.
No caps?! that sounds good. i hope they release the categories soon, because 0112 HR managers wasnt there in fswp2013 but it's there in fswp2014 so i am not sure if they would be accepting HR managers in EE2015.
thanks for the info though fpaikar.
Hi Sinestro you are welcomes, guess they wont have any occupation lists either in express entry,it will solely be based on the points you secure in the immigration program you apply.
Guess Express entry would be better as by the time for CEC we would have gained the experience and with more points can get invitation quickly to apply. There will be reduced time as well.
