hi guys i just want to ask if you can help me regarding my status, I got refusal from applying an open permit using my wife WP which will end in July mine expired already April. i was asked to apply for restoration, what form should I use? I dont have LMIA or work permit anymore, Can i apply restoration of status from WORKER TO VISITOR?
anyone can answer? any help?
Yes - you can apply to restore your status and change it to visitor.

You cannot use your wife's work permit as a basis of applying for an open permit. Her permit would need to be valid for at least six months and that is not the case. You need to apply to have your status changed to visitor. Once your wife receives her nomination you can apply for work permits.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=1030&t=17
