Hello dear

I am permanant resident in canada. currently in my native county.....i faced lot of problem as i didnt have my surname with my name......now i want to add my surname to my passport so that i may not face those problem again..

my question is if i shall have any problem while entering in canada with change of name....though i will have my previous passport, landing paper and PR card with me

plz advise should i go for change of name in my native country

I think, you are good to go as long as you carry all your genuine documentation, proving your PR status. It won't be any trouble at all ?

how come you had a passport without the surname on it ? surname is a must, right !
