Hi. I have a question concerning the work experiance.
I actually study in the USA. My major is Information technology. I still have one more semester to finish my associate degree. Mainwhile, I work part time ( 25Hours/ week ) as a cafeteria manager in the college that i study in it's been one year and half .Also I have a 2 years diploma in information technology that i got from morocco 4 years ago.
My question is, does the fact that my work experiance is in a differante field than my studies may dismiss my request?
Also, I dont get paid as a real manager does because i'm an international student. However they pay for my tuition.( 5000$/semester). Can this fact affect my application?
Yes Iam applying under FSW category 1.
my work is one of the 38 NOC categories.
I can claim the equivalent Of one year full time experiance.
I have taken the points test and i got 70.
Now my question is the following: does the fact that my experiance is in differante field than my studies may dismiss my aplication?
Also , I know that If my application is accepted, I will have to submit my W2 form.
The problem is my W2 form shows a low income for two raisons. First, because I work only part time. Second, because the cafeteria pays for my tuition.
Thank you
Hi,
The case is interesting. I personally think it does not matter if your studies do not match your work experience. Actually, nowhere on the instructions it says they should. If your work experience is at least 1 year full time and it is listed on the new list, then I guess you would qualify.
As for the second part of your question, I again do not think it really matters how much you get paid. You just need to get paid so that your employment can be considered full time "paid" employment. I am no expert so I could be wrong.
work experience must match the NOC job description
education is another matter, nowhere is there mentioned any need to link the two
it's up to the OP to prove his work experience by providing as much documentary proof as possible, and maybe asking the employer to cover all the points needed in the proof of employment letter
