Guys, I received COPR this morning but it has wrong date of birth. The instruction page with COPR says to re-send passport and COPR to CPC Ottawa so they will re-issue it.

However, this is notice bulletin on cic website - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob545-mod.asp

it says at POE CBSA officer can make those corrections as well. I am thinking to do landing at CIC office in Edmonton, Is it possible CIC office in edmonton will do this correction?

Any suggestions?

Congrats on your COPR. If I were you I would do a quick flagpole and find out. There is nothing to lose but time, probably an hour. Just go around the border, if the officer accepts your COPR you're good to go, if not, they will let you back in with no problem. Then you'll send your COPR and passport for reissue. I'm assuming you reside inside Canada.

Otherwise I if you are not very open to this suggestion, just follow the instructions on your COPR and send it back for a reissue.

Best of luck,

I would not mind doing it but closet border is 600 km so that's one hell of a drive. That's also reason I am thinking to do landing at CIC office in my city.

Oh, dang. Then here is another approach. Call the border, they have numbers and they always pickup the phone. Ask your question, if they said no problem, come down to the border, we'll fix it for you, make sure to write down the officer's staff number, they go by numbers and the time you called. So you can have a little proof just in case. You can do the same by calling CIC itself, (I would double check with two agents, they are known for giving out not very reliable answers).

Again if you can wait and you have enough time just send the documents back and wait for a reissue.

BTW it's peaceful where you live. I tried to move to Alberta couple of times, too tied to my work here in Vancouver. But I'll eventually get there.

Thanks , yeah I will call them to see what they say/

Yeah, i like it here except down run of economy. Hoping to see it gets better next few months or so. As Trump takes the office, he is going to get Keystone project approved aka good news for Alberta to kick start the oil business.
