I had a 6 month TRV and stayed in Canada for 4 months. I applied for visitor extension record while I was in Canada. I left the country before expiry of my TRV.
My visitor extension application is still in process.
When it gets approved, can I enter Canada with only the visitor extension record? (TRV on the passport is expired).
Others can comment/ correct but A visitor extension is only good whilst in Canada it is not a travel document. You need a new TRV to travel to Canada if the TRV with your passport has expired.
Maybe clarify your statement that you had a 6 month TRV , you mean a 6 month authorised stay or an actual TRV valid for just 6 months.

I have two applications in process now: extension and the TRV.
Should I send a webform to cancel the extension application? Would it have any impact on my TRV?
