It should work, but BLS has been messing up such applications even when done in-person. Like, not including a copy of the receipt for SC in all visa applications etc. With postal route, likely to be even more erratic.

Unfortunately I have a 6 month old and I'm a sole caregiver. So standing in the queue all night is impossible for me.

Not normal but some others have reported this. May be your email address was mis-spelt or the mail is in spam?

What's weirder is on the official visa status site, it says its Processed and printed. So I'm a little confused

For some reason BLS keeps revising the application date until its in transit to CGI. May be they went a bit too far this time. If its "Granted and Printed" at visaonline site, I would trust that and wait for BLS status to update. What is the printed date?

An update on my saga. Went to BLS today during their 3pm time with new application, hoping they will take it. Instead I was advised that because the mistake was on the application, entire application package will be mailed back to me, which could take 2 weeks or more because they are so backlogged, another option given was I sign a form to withdraw the entire application, they will find it within 48-72 hours and express it back to me, then I can go in person, stand in line from 5am because sending it my post there will be delays........They can find the application in 48-72 hours to send it back, but they won't replace the application with the new one and send it for processing ??? I had no choice but to fill out the withdrawal form to get it all back "hopefully" by the end of this week and then I will have to stand in line.
Making matters worse, when applying in person for a minor both parents have to be there, I am divorced and their father lives in Montreal, so I have to get him to come here.......this is beyond ridiculous.
Going to India after 12 years, now wondering if it's worth it. Have been stressed over this for 2 months. Have even applied for OCI for all 3 of us before they opened the entry visa.

So it's saying Processed and Printed when I checked it today, Application date of 20 Nov.

@eas2lv or anyone else has answer to my question, My brother is applying for his kids entry visa and as per new checklist they require parents marriage certificate. my brother has nikah certificate which technically he used to get sponsored to Canada. How strict is BLS in terms of Marriage certificate

Where did you find this new checklist? The one on BLS site does not mention it. It mentions passport of both parents.

After how many days, will I receive entry Visa delivered to my home? I submitted Entry Visa on 18th Nov, Saturday Walkin at Toronto BLS.

On the Consulate Visa Tracker, my entry Visa status says "
Your visa is Processed and Printed.
If not collected earlier,Please contact the respective office on next working day where you have submitted your Application.

and on BLS Tracker it says"

In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre
