Entry Exit Record from UAE

Hi Everyone,

My citizenship application is in progress and IRCC has asked to provide Entry Exit Record / Record of Movement from UAE for a certain period of time.

I have never been a UAE resident. I have only visited or transited through Dubai.

I have contacted General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, and they say that this report cannot be applied from outside of UAE.

However, IRCC is insisting and saying other people have been able to get it while they were outside UAE and it is upto me to find a way to get it. My question is, has anyone been successful in obtaining Entry Exit Record from UAE while staying in Canada? If yes, please share how,

Yes I contacted ICP and they referred me to contact GDRFAD. Same response, this report cannot be applied from outside the UAE.

You will need a local contact in UAE to facilitate this. Not sure what the procedure is since you did not have a residence visa in the UAE. I was a resident and had to get my record of movement from UAE. Mercifully I worked only with one employer so reached out to them who were able to get this done for me.

Someone will have to visit the GDFRA to get this for you. You may want to contact the UAE Embassy or Consulate to find out what documents they will need. I'm guessing a verified copy of your passport.

POA needs to be an official one notarized and attested by ODS in Toronto for use outside Canada. Then it needs to be mailed to Embassy for their attestation. Once Embassy returns the POA i will send it to person in UAE. Then he can go to GDRFA and get it on our behalf.
A long process but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s see how it hoes.

As a person who lived in Dubai and visited UAE hundreds of times I would suggest you engage with local lawyer that speaking Arabic and ask them to help you. UAE is a country where same rule is subject to particular government person to decide what you get and it is pretty random, no matter what the rule is. I recall going with the same papers to get things done and get 2 rejections and accepted 3 time. It might go well if someone goes with your passport copy and etc.

Remember to either do the POA in Arabic AND English or Arabic only. While the UAE Embassy will attest any document attested by ODS, the officers in UAE will not accept an English only document.

Thanks everyone for your kind suggestions. My friend was able to get the exit and entry record for me. We didn’t need to get POA translated in Arabic. Got it from the GDRFA office at Dubai airport terminal 3.

IRCC requested to get entry exit records from the UAE. Does anyone know how to get those while I stay in Canada and do not have active visa

They want

Entry-Exit records/ Record of Movement from UAE during the following period: 06FEB2017 to 05FEB2022

I entered and exit from the UAE through e gates thats why I do not have stamps on my passport. How can I get these details while I am in Canada.
