Hi all, i got my lmia based work permit approved . Now i am just wondering that can i enter in canada. I already have a letter from employer stating he needs me in his franchise.

One of my friend applied for LMIA based work permit in first week of May but has not received any update.

I got my LMIA approved since Dec 2019 and visa stamped also.I came to India in Jan 2020 because employer employer asked me to wait because store was going for renovation.

After that global pandemic corona spreading like fire so everything shut down. Now employer told me again to wait.

I want to ask I can enter in Canada if flights available.

You should have no issues entering Canada since you have a valid work permit.

However keep in mind that you can only work for the employer who supported your work permit once you get here. So it may not make much sense to come to Canada if you will have no income.

I already wait for 7months but still employer asked me to wait may be till next year. The problem I left my job from Dubai and came back to India to spend some time at home because employer told me wait also.Now I am jobless and looking forward for employer response.

I would recommend waiting in India until you know there is work for you in Canada and your employer is ready for you to come to work. The cost of living in Canada is much higher than in India and it will be very expensive to live here without being able to work.

I would recommend waiting in India until you know there is work for you in Canada and your employer is ready for you to come to work. The cost of living in Canada is much higher than in India and it will be very expensive to live here without being able to work.

Would add thar unemployment rate has increased and wait times for all permits have increased so getting a new permit may not get approved or could take 6+ months. You won't be entitled to any form of benefits.

If he qualifies, then he certainly can.

Suggest he start by researching the Express Entry program.
