Entering Canada with a visitor visa while PR application is approved

Hi everyone,
I have a question, I hope somebody, might have some experience with.
My mom is in Canada on a visitor visa and just received an email saying that her PR application is approved. We were planning to travel to Cuba with her in 4 days. There is not enough time to get the PR card. Can she enter Canada with her visitor visa in this case?
I will appreciate any suggestions or info on this.

If she has landed her TRV likely is cancelled. There are sometimes a delay between period of cancellation but there is a good chance she would not be able to return without a PRTD which would take quite a long time to get.

Thanks for your response. Bad news, but I'm glad we caught it before the trip and not on our return.
